Chemistry

For us, Chemistry is the science of studying molecules, and doing chemical reactions--breaking old molecules and making new molecules.  Chemistry is also the study of techniques we can use to identify molecules and to better understand them, and this leads to Spectroscopy.

Physics

Physics is the study of Matter and Energy.  Physics is a superset of Chemistry, meaning that anything studied in Chemistry rightfully belongs in Physics.  However, with the goal of trying to keep content overlap to a minimum, we'll discuss atoms in Physics and and molecules in Chemistry.  

Physics also includes the study of topics such as Motion, Force, Energy, Light, Sound, Electricity and Magnetism.  We hope that, to a large extent, this listing covers the basics.  Beyond all this you will find strange and wonderful topics that draw from several of the basic areas.
